HOW TO MAKE MONEY AS A KID WITHOUT A JOB.
My love for entrepreneurship started right from childhood. I was fascinated about how my favorite world billionaires Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Ma and Dangote were able to accumulate such wealth. I read so much about them on Google and YouTube and how I could be like them, but I was just kid. I was too young to maybe get a loan and start a business or something, so I did research on How to make money online as a Kid and it really paid off. My love and passion for entrepreneur as a kid is what has brought me and JIMO group this far.
I'll be sharing with you how kids can earn money legitimately. Let's dive right into it!
Baby Sitting!
If you are not comfortable with sending your child outside the home at the begining, they can start with their own siblings or relatives. A next step would be to refer them to friends. Sites like Sittercity.com and Care.com can also connect them with safe opportunities for childcare employment. For this kind of Job make sure you're good with children and you are able to tolerate their behaviors. Taking care of children could be really frustrating a times.
Dog Walking
I recently ran into some old family friends who had started a dog walking business. The two younger girls (both under 13) and the mom began approaching people in their building asking for business. It wasn’t long before they were all making money in their new business endeavor! Sites like Care.com and Sittercity.com can connect you to pet-sitting/care job opportunities as well.
If you’re children are interested in dog walking, just make sure that the dogs are vaccinated and are well-trained so they won’t cause any harm. If any unfortunate events are caused by the dog such as biting passersby, then the victims can call on a dog bite lawyer.
Crafting
With sites like Etsy.com, it’s easier than ever to create something home made and sell it to the world at large. What’s more is that if your child isn’t sure what to craft, there are thousands of sites that will teach them to sew, knit, craft or scrapbook like a champ. At one time, my daughter would sell her rainbow loom creations to friends and family. She would regularly go on YouTube.com and learn how to make bracelets, charms and figurines. Once finished, they were priced to sell!
Create games.
One of my children is huge into video games and is always coming up with ways for the games to be better. If this sounds like your child, then it may be time to investigate creating their own game and monetize it (trust me, it’s a lot easier than it sounds).
Selling digital goods.
Creating an ebook or a course is a great way to begin selling digital goods with very little overhead.
Start taking photographs.
Taking photographs can be a great way to put your child’s hobby to good use. Some of the best sites that might be willing to pay them for their photographs are EyeEm, Foap, and Scoopshot, and guess what? You can sell pictures taken with your phone! Yes you can. Just make sure you have a phone with an amazing camera.
Start a blog.
If your child loves to write, starting a blog at a young age could potentially help your kids get to the point of monetization by the time they could really use it. Writing a blog can be a lot of fun, but it can take a while to start making money with a blog. So this could be more of a longer-term goal that kids can grow into over the years.
Sell their old stuff online.
There are many different platforms for your kids to sell their old stuff online. Some of our favorites are Ebay, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, Poshmark, and Amazon.
Make YouTube videos.
Our kids today are technology savvy, right? YouTube is a platform where some decent money can be made if your child loves to create videos. A lot of kids have been creating videos specifically for YouTube to get the point of making money. For example, kids can be product testers and make videos of them testing out products from different companies. Even if your kid just wants to make videos talking about particular subjects (video games, how-to-videos, etc.), they can place ads in their videos to start generating income. As a parent, however, you should be monitoring this money-making avenue closely.
Make crafts or jewelry to sell online.
If your child loves to create jewelry and crafts, then selling them online may be a great way for them to make money as a kid. The most popular website for things of this nature currently is Etsy.
Create illustrations.
If your child likes to create illustrations, then they could make some money with this skill. Get them a decent illustrating tablet and intuitive software (I suggest Clip Studio Paint Pro) and they will be on their way. A great website to have them set up a portfolio on is Deviantart.
Online surveys
You’ll definitely need the permission of your parents to try this next money-making idea for kids. If your parents have a spare device (or if you’ve got your own), taking online surveys can be a great way to make money. Sites like Swagbucks or Survey Junkie will pay you to answer questions on your mobile device or at a computer. The payouts are small, but they can add up over time. If you’re a teenager, you can also review these ways to make money online as a teen.
Selling t-shirts.
Designing and selling t-shirts together has never been easier than it is today. You don’t need a graphic designer and a screen printer anymore. There are plenty of websites geared towards creating your own t-shirts, marketing them, and selling them such as Shopify, Zazzle, Teespring, CafePress, and more.
Water plants.
Help your child find families that are vacationing, work long hours, or are elderly and just could use a helping hand with their plants. Wash cars. If your child is younger, they can offer to wash the neighbor’s cars. Once they get older and can legally work with a work permit, some car washes might be willing to hire them.

Selling Stuff
This might require your help, but it can be a great way to add money to your kid’s bottom line. In fact, if there’s a junk car at home, they can sell them online on services such as sell car Bolton. They can also buy, sell and flip items on sites like Craigslist.org and Ebay.com. No work permit required!
Landscaping
If your child has access to a lawn mower and neighbors who are willing to pay, this is a classic way to make money. It requires very little start up capital and is ripe right around the time kids are usually off for summer break. If they are ambitious and live in the right area, they can convert summer clientele during winter months for snow shoveling.
Being a lesson teacher.
They're kids out there who might have problems with maybe maths, geography or something, you could offer to teach them and make some money. Easy money right?
These are the easy and trusted ways to make money as a kid as far as I'm concerned. If you have question, please don't hesitate to ask.
